My First Cayman Birthday!

One thing I can count on for my birthday is it usually being cold, the threat of a snow or ice storm or being sick!

Happily, this year I got to do something new! December 10th was my first birthday on Grand Cayman and I enjoyed ever minute!

Queen Elizabeth Botantic Park

I decided to spend my day at the Queen Elizabeth Botantic Park. The park was about a 40 minute drive along the coast from our house.

The whole park was decked out for the holidays with beautiful decorations that matched the natural beauty of the park.

There are 12 different areas to check out and the park is laid out in a very easy to follow way! Check out areas like the Orchid Boardwalk, Heritage Garden, the Lily Pond Gazebo and so much more!

There were so many different species of flowers that I had never seen before! So many in such vibrant colours, interesting shapes and unique plants!

The park is also home to iguanas, birds and agouti. These are often harder to spot but add to the wonder of the park.

Everywhere you go in the park, there is something beautiful to see and learn about!

Blue Iguanas

No visit to the Queen Elizabeth Botantic Park would be complete without a stop at the Blue Iguana Conservation Facility. The iguana’s were cute, huge and very blue!! While they were once found all over the island, they are now considered an species.

My Guy!!

Remi made such an effort to ensure this birthday was a special one. Being my first on away from all my friends and family, it certainly felt different but he made sure I felt special and loved.

We finished the night off with a trip to see the tree in Camana Bay!!

My birthday was great!!
